Best Accessories for Sony a7CII?
Just picked up the Sony a7CII and I'm loving it so far! Now I'm looking to expand my kit with some essential accessories. I mainly shoot street photography and occasional portraits. I'm thinking about getting an extra battery, maybe a small cage for better grip, and definitely need a good strap since the stock one isn't great. What accessories do you all consider must-haves for this camera? Also, any recommendations for affordable ND filters? Thanks in advance!

I've had mine for about six months now and have definitely dialed in my accessory setup. First things first: batteries. Get at least two genuine Sony NP-FZ100s—yes they're expensive, but they last significantly longer than third-party options and the camera reads them accurately. I learned this the hard way when a cheap battery died mid-shoot despite showing 40% charge.
For your cage question, I'd actually suggest trying a simple L-bracket first, especially for street work. Something like the Really Right Stuff or Peak Design options gives you better grip without the bulk of a full cage. I use the SmallRig L-bracket and it's been perfect—quick release plate, Arca-Swiss compatible, and it doesn't interfere with the battery door.
Straps are personal preference, but I switched to the Peak Design Slide Lite and never looked back. It's super comfortable and the quick-adjust feature is brilliant when you need to switch between neck and shoulder carry.
For ND filters, don't cheap out completely but you don't need top-tier either. B+W or Hoya HD series hit the sweet spot for price-to-performance. Get a variable ND (2-5 stops) for portraits—you'll use it constantly for shooting wide open in daylight. Also grab a circular polarizer while you're at it; makes a huge difference for street scenes with reflections or sky detail.
