Temporary Caching: To enhance performance, search results may be stored locally on your computer using browser’s storage API. This cached data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere else.
Amazon Search: The extension sends search queries directly from your browser to Amazon’s public website, just like typing into Amazon’s search bar yourself. You can select your preferred Amazon region.
Zero Tracking: We don’t monitor which sites you visit, what products you browse, or how you use the extension.
Why We Need Permissions
The extension requests specific permissions solely for its core features:
- activeTab: Reads product information only when you click the extension icon
- storage: Saves search results locally for faster performance
- tabs: Opens Amazon product pages in new tabs when requested
- Host permissions: Enables functionality across all shopping websites
These permissions serve the extension’s basic operation and enable no data collection whatsoever.
Third-Party Interaction
The extension connects to Amazon.com to search for products. When you click Amazon product links, Amazon’s privacy policy and terms of service apply.
